I remember well the noice of the guns. For I was in Washington at the time of the battle. I went to Mr. Ward's with my brother the night of the great defeat and we heard the rumors of disaster." Signed - A H Joline. Someone has written on ffe that Joline was a "book collector and author." Joline was prominent book/autograph collector and dealer of the day.

Volumes are all in excellent, apparently unused, condition in various colors with beautiful gilt embossed leather. Signed by the editor in volume 1.
